Gastonia, N.C. (July 19, 2021) – PayMore is celebrating the company’s woman-owned franchise storefront’s one year anniversary in Gastonia.

Military spouse and North Carolina native Lisa Conger launched the national retail chain’s second location in the state in 2020, meeting profit goals in the franchise location’s first year, with in-store and online service during the global pandemic.

Conger’s Gastonia electronics retail store is one of a growing network of PayMore locations across the U.S. The national electronics trade-in and retail sales provider is headquartered in New York. The company’s first North Carolina storefront opened in Cary in 2020. The Gastonia PayMore store offers more than 2,000 sq. ft. of retail space and is located ten minutes outside of Charlotte.

“We are proud of what Lisa Conger and her team have achieved in their first year of business,” said Erik Helgesen, President and CEO, PayMore. “Small business owners and entrepreneurs across the U.S. have been met with extremely difficult challenges this year and Conger’s success highlights her commitment to serving the community and building a strong retail team here in Gastonia. We are honored to have her on the team and can’t wait to see what they achieve this year.”

Before taking the reins of PayMore Gastonia, Lisa Conger’s career included work in the overseas freight forwarding industry. She has lived in Gaston County for eight years and grew up in Charlotte. A military spouse and mother, Conger is also a member of ‘100+ Women Who Care in Gaston County,’ which lends its support to different non-profit organizations serving the local community each month.

“Leaving a corporate career to bring PayMore to Gaston County was the best decision – I have more flexibility and ownership over my own career,” said Lisa Conger, franchise owner, Paymore Gastonia. “It’s been a challenging year for small business owners everywhere, but we’re quickly becoming a trusted neighborhood source for buying, selling and trading electronics. Our commitment to protecting data security and to delivering customer service excellence are two reasons why our customers keep coming back.”

PayMore’s franchise stores provide a fast, safe and easy way to sell electronics for cash or purchase a pre-owned device with an industry-leading warranty. Before launching the Gaston Country location, Lisa Conger attended the company’s in-person leadership training at its corporate headquarters in New York. The company’s innovative business model includes a commitment to protecting customer data using industry-leading data privacy techniques. In addition, PayMore is committed to offering green business solutions, including increasing the number of devices that are repurposed and resold, keeping them out of landfills.

“The training I received at PayMore HQ before starting my first small business made me understand first-hand how important the services we offer really are,” said Conger. “Helping PayMore customers select the best electronic device to meet their needs, ensure they are protected with industry-leading warranties, and protecting their data privacy when they trade in old devices is something each of our team members takes very seriously.”
