PayMore Whitehorn Is Open: Calgary’s Second Location to Sell, Trade & Shop Electronics
After the response there made the case for expanding, PayMore is opening a second Calgary location. Whitehorn follows PayMore Chinook as the brand’s second Calgary location, giving northeast Calgary a more convenient local option.

That gap is the reason PayMore opened in Calgary, and it is the reason there is now a second location: PayMore Whitehorn is open in the northeast.
From Chinook to Whitehorn
Calgary's first PayMore opened at Chinook, and the response from customers there made the decision to expand an easy one. Whitehorn brings the same store to a different part of the city, so more Calgarians have a local option instead of a drive across town.
There is no appointment to book and no listing to post. Customers bring in smartphones, laptops, tablets, gaming systems, smartwatches, cameras and other devices, the team evaluates them on the spot and makes an offer in cash.
Meet the Owners
Calgary's PayMore stores are owned and run locally by Dave Henderson and Simon Stuart, who saw an opportunity to bring PayMore’s dedicated electronics resale model to Calgary.
"Most people have old phones, computers and gaming systems sitting around, but they often don't know what they're worth or how to sell them safely," said Dave Henderson, co-owner of PayMore Calgary. "We want customers to leave feeling the experience was easy, fair and professional, that they got a clear explanation of what their device is worth, and that their personal information was handled properly."

Two things tend to make people hesitate before selling a device: not knowing what it is worth, and not knowing what happens to everything stored on it.
PayMore is built to answer both. Devices are evaluated in front of the customer with a clear explanation of how the number was reached, and offers are paid in cash rather than store credit. Every device goes through secure data-wiping processes designed to protect customers' personal information before it is resold.
There is a sustainability side to it as well. Devices that still have life in them are tested and resold, keeping usable electronics in circulation and out of landfills, while those that have reached the end of their usable life are routed to responsible recycling.

They hope to build relationships with local schools, nonprofits, community associations and nearby businesses over time, particularly around electronics collection and recycling programs, which connect directly to what the stores do every day.
